Founder & CEO
Tia Robinson is the founder and CEO of Vertical Activewear, Georgia’s first B Corp-certified apparel manufacturer, and Activate by Vertical, its sustainable merchandising and brand activation arm. Her work focuses on rethinking how apparel is designed, produced, used, and recovered—helping organizations create merchandise people actually want to keep, made sustainably and on demand.
In her 2025 TEDxAtlanta talk, “How to Be a Sustainable Online Shopper,” Tia makes the case that consumers have more power to influence the fashion industry than they may realize. Through Vertical, she is putting that philosophy into practice by helping organizations move toward more demand-driven, circular approaches to apparel and merchandise.
Her clients and collaborators include Porsche, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and the City of Atlanta’s Department of Public Works. Vertical Activewear is a Georgia Tech ATDC portfolio company and a graduate of the City of Atlanta’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative.
Tia has contributed to the resource network supporting the City of Atlanta’s Climate Resilience Advisory Board and the FIFA World Cup Environmental Committee and serves on the board of B Local Georgia, the local organization advancing the B Corp movement.
